We are seeking a talented and experienced

Senior Data Engineer

to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our growing data needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our data systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data engineering technologies, a passion for problem-solving, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities :

Architect and Design Data Solutions: Design, architect, and implement scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support various data processing needs, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Data Modeling and Optimization: Develop and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting requirements, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

Data Integration and ETL: Build and maintain ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse and data lake, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the process.

Performance Tuning and Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and systems, optimizing query performance and resource utilization for improved efficiency.

Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and auditing.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver integrated solutions that meet business needs.

Technical Leadership and Mentoring: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the team, mentoring them on best practices, coding standards, and emerging technologies in data engineering. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

6 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on designing and building scalable data solutions.

Specific experience supporting simultaneous research requests from data science org while balancing the needs of a live product

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in building data pipelines

Strong SQL skills with experience in database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL

Production level design of both relational and graph databases

Practical background with integration of 3rd party tools such as Elasticsearch, Databricks

Hands-on experience with AWS platform and data services

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes

Deep understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles including but not limited to data ingestion, curation and governance

Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence is a plus What You’ll Get:
