Client Service Specialist - $500 sign on bonus included*

* Sign on bonus is for newly hired Palo Alto, CA HCB employees only. Sign on bonus will be split amongst multiple pay periods. Half of the sign on bonus will be paid out following 60 days of active employment and the second/final payment will payout after 120 days of active employment.

The Client Specialist at Madison Reed Hair Color Bars provides a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure as a liaison between the guests and the rest of the Hair Color Bar team. You love customer service, organizing a schedule, recommending products and pumping up the team.

The Madison Reed Client Support Specialist is the face of our busiest Hair Color Bars, greeting guests from the moment they walk-in, providing a smooth check-in experience, introducing them to their Colorist and sending them off with all their hair needs met. This is an excellent role if you are in beauty school or working towards your license. This role reports to the Manager, can be full or part time depending on business needs and requires availability at peak times to best serve our guest needs.

At Madison Reed, we aim to pay competitively. The starting hourly rate for this position is between $20 to $22 per hour in addition to commission and monthly bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is eligible for commissions and tips in accordance with the terms of the Company's total rewards plan. Commissions and tips for this position will vary based on factors of individual performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with our values of Love, Joy, Trust, Courage and Responsibility.
  • Be an expert on front-end operations including: buy online and pick up in store, point of sale system, checking in and out guests and answering phones.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by determining each guest's needs and educating guests concerning Madison Reed products and services.
  • Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other key performance indicators, including but not limited to: retail sales, services, memberships.
  • Ensure Hair Color Bar meets company standards as it relates to cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, company asset security.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, team members will regularly stand, walk for four plus consecutive hours; repetitive and regular bending and twisting at the waist; manipulating fingers and hands, bend and reach wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms or move up to ten pounds. May occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, pull up to ten pounds. Additionally, team members will communicate regularly with guests via ongoing conversations and consultations
Qualifications:
  • Entry level experience in any customer service or retail sales environment; salon or beauty industry experience preferred.
  • Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills, in a fast-paced retail or salon
  • Comfortable operating point of sale systems
