If so, FCCI Insurance Group is the company for you We are currently seeking an experienced Underwriter for our start-up Surplus Lines division. This is an excellent opportunity to join the division prior to the official launch at the end of 2024. In this role, the underwriter will determine individual risk for acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions, by developing, analyzing, and evaluating information and exposures on risks of an increasingly complex technical nature with a high level of authority. Additional responsibilities include: Researching and developing new classes of business as directed. Researching market trends and competition. Assessing market viability, suggesting form wording on endorsements and exclusions, and supporting rate changes based on global strategy. Reviewing individual risks submitted by assigned agents to determine acceptability within company guidelines. Analyzing exposures to loss, developing an adequate premium charge for the exposure, determining endorsements and exclusions to address loss exposures for the insurance contract, including developing manuscript wording appropriate to the risk. Achieving team/individual production and loss ratio goals with assigned agents/brokers through sound book management and marketing. Overseeing or handling policy maintenance items and other mid-term requests, as well as conducting mid-term policy audits. Traveling to agent offices as required for training, marketing, or production visits. Assisting with the development of marketing ideas and strategies. This role can be at one of our regional office locations with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 remote). Preferred office locations: Sarasota, FL, Richardson, TX, or Richmond, VA.
