Description Supports day to day operations of HR and Legal systems. Works with HR & Legal team within Franklin Electric to make the best use of Franklin Electric’s technology resources. Understands the global business goals of the HR & Legal teams and prioritizes initiatives to support those goals. Communicates and coordinates with other IT teams, business leaders, and IT Leaders to ensure proper integration of processes and modules across the enterprise. Writes functional requirements, develops test plans, and handles production issues. Stays updated on technological developments and applications and uses that information to proactively suggest improvements to prevent future problems. Key Responsibilities Prepares and presents an annual strategic plan for HR & Legal systems. Meets regularly with HR & Legal business partners to ensure successful execution of the annual strategic plan. Oversee the daily operation of our HR Information Systems including HR data and legal data. Automate and continuously improve systems to make them easier for employees and leaders to use, allowing for full utilization and providing greater value to the organization. Maintain positive working relationships with vendors of HR software and systems and provide recommendations to senior managers on the deployment of information technology in the organization. Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/report on any data discrepancies. Oversees the development, and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, policies, and procedures. Coordinates system audits and data validation initiatives. Develops training and documentation for system use and maintenance. Generates ad-hoc reports (for example, reports on turnover, hiring costs and benefits). Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations Ensures the complex inter-dependencies are maintained between the HR and Payroll system and other upstream/downstream systems, including third parties. Leads configuration, implementation, and maintenance of annual events (i.e. performance evaluation, merit and bonus approvals). Trains and provides troubleshooting tips to other HR members on features and functionality of HRIS systems and applications as needed. Performs root cause analysis of problems and recommends steps to prevent recurrences. Researches, implements, and manages system updates.

Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrates strong project management ability, provides system analyst and comprehensive computer software support/help and/or web site development and connectivity. Writes routine reports and correspondence. Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature. Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; occasionally assists in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation. Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree. Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and/or other employees of the organization. Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, computer programming, information technology, or a related field (preferred) 3 to 5 years (preferred) in designing, implementing, and managing HRIS systems ADP vantage and MYADP experience preferred but not required Hands-on experience with HR database administration Familiarity with payroll systems and ATS Don’t feel like you check all the boxes in the job description?
