Job Description:We are currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate to join our team in Winter/Spring 2025 The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong interest in working with gender diverse/transgender/non-binary clients. Excellent clinical writing skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to receive feedback are essential for this role.This position is designed for a clinician who is new to the field and seeking clinical supervision while working with a unique and vulnerable population. The ideal candidate will align with the values of our practice, which include considering intersectionality, awareness of systems of oppression, fostering anti-racism, gender inclusiveness, and decolonization. We also operate from a Health At Every Size (HAES) perspective.Responsibilities:- Attend regular supervision sessions (virtual and/or in person)- Conduct intake assessments and provide psychotherapy sessions- Offer crisis management support to individuals in need- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to clients with diverse backgrounds, with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community- Write letters of support for gender-affirming care- Occasionally provide family counseling or related support- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including chart notes and intake assessmentsSkills:The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:- Proficiency in gender affirming care and counseling- Competency with and affirmation of neurodiverse clients- Openness to feedback- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds- Strong crisis management abilities- Interpersonal skills- Proficiency in case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment planning- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities- Conduct effective psychotherapy sessions- Utilize technology for documentation and communication (e.g., Simple Practice, Google Drive, Word, Excel)This position offers a starting pay of $35 per client-facing hour, with opportunities for pay increases based on performance. Health insurance and dental insurance are provided once the employee qualifies based on weekly hours worked.
