Senior Software Test Engineer
12 Month Initial Contract
On-site - Santa Clara, CA
Pay Rate - $65 - $70/hour
Responsibilities:
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Document, track, and monitor software defects and issues in a bug tracking system.
Work closely with developers to understand software features, debug issues, and ensure high-quality software releases.
Re-test fixed defects and conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
Evaluate software performance under varying loads and stress conditions.
Verify that the software complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in software test engineering.
Significant experience in test case automation.
Proficiency in C, Python, and/or other test automation programming languages.
Experience in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining software tools and automated test suites to ensure quality and compliance.
Skilled in applying deductive and inductive problem-solving techniques.
Comfortable and experienced in communicating with large groups or high-level stakeholders.
