Vaco Boston has partnered with a regional CPA firm that is seeking a motivated Assurance Associate.
Responsibilities:
Analyze accounting records to determine financial status of establishment and prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures.
Inspect items in books of original entry to determine if accepted accounting procedure was followed in recording transactions.
Participate in the planning and coordination of audits.
Perform audits.
Review data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and expenditures.
Stay current on the latest GAAP practices and knowledge of GAAP matters.
Verify journal and ledger entries of cash and check payments, purchases, expenses, trial balances by examining and authenticating inventory items.
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or other related field.
CPA certification or exam eligible preferred
Prior audit or accounting work experience (Audit, Tax, and Bookkeeping) preferred.

Pay Transparency Notice
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
