We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Line Manager to oversee our paper manufacturing operations. The Production Line Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production line, meeting quality standards, optimizing processes, and leading a team of production line staff.
Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Manage and coordinate all activities on the paper production line, including pulp preparation, paper forming, pressing, drying, and finishing.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications by implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control measures.
Process Optimization:
Continuously assess and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
Equipment Maintenance:
Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform regular maintenance on production machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and mentor production line staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production output, quality control data, equipment maintenance logs, and employee performance evaluations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in the paper industry.
Proven track record of leadership and management in a production setting, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
Strong technical knowledge of paper manufacturing processes and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with employees at all levels.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as preferred
