The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, anticipate the needs of the surgeon, and provide high-quality patient care during operations. This is a Monday-Friday daytime position. No call required Responsibilities: Patient Assistance: Assist in the care of patients under the direction of an RN, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical procedure. Instrument Handling: Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring they are readily available and properly maintained. Procedure Knowledge: Understand the surgical procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Sterile Field Maintenance: Maintain a vigilant watch over the sterile field, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to provide seamless and effective patient care. Quality Care: Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures, contributing to positive patient outcomes. Documentation: Accurately document surgical procedures and patient information as required. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Graduation from a Certified Surgical Technician program preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technician, preferably in a hospital setting.
