As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of Production Supervisors and overseeing all aspects of the production process. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high production standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring product quality. Pay: $78K - $120K Shift: Flexible (1st, 2nd, 3rd) but mainly days Offers full benefits, vacation, and other incentives Responsibilities for the Production Manager: -Collaborate with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budgets, and implement cost controls. -Obtain data on product specifications, quantities, delivery dates, and types to effectively plan and prioritize production activities. -Coordinate production activities with materials, maintenance, and quality control departments to maximize resource utilization and productivity. -Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and address nonconformities and operational issues. -Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to enhance product quality and resolve operational problems. -Adjust production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational challenges. -Consult with engineering personnel to improve production processes and equipment efficiency. -Maintain positive customer relations by visiting customers as necessary. -Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures. -Foster positive employee relations and cultivate a supportive work environment for departmental staff. -Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures. -Support and enforce compliance with plant-specific training programs. -Conduct audits -Develop and implement a program to encourage continuous improvement suggestions from the hourly workforce. -Ensure timely response to all requests for quotations (RFQs) and compliance with manufacturing guidelines. -Ensure adherence to TS-16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
Qualifications:
Education / Experience / Qualifications for Production Manager: • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience • Prefer five years’ experience in a progressive Tier One automotive manufacturing environment • Experience with JIT manufacturing, working knowledge of TS 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience • Must be comfortable working with and presenting to all levels of the organization
