Our accounting internship program provides an opportunity for students to experience the practice of public accounting firsthand and integrates this experience with their formal education. As a Brady Ware Intern, you will work full-time during tax busy season, January - April 15, and gain valuable experience working with tax team.

Learning Objectives:

• Obtain a basic understanding of trial balance, general ledger, tax preparation, depreciation, and amortization software used by the Tax department.
• Calculate and prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules on different book and tax bases.
• Learn to input client's working trial balance into software and adjust.
• Manage time invested in engagements wisely, including sensitivity to budget constraints and maintaining an accurate work-in-progress schedule of work assigned.
• Prepare individual tax returns for review.
• Learn to cope with the demanding multi-tasking nature of public accounting.

• Junior or Senior undergrad or enrolled in Master's program
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
• Must be willing to work up to 50 hours a week mid-March through April 15.
• Students must be a declared Accounting major or working towards a degree plan which includes 150 college credit hours required to take the CPA exam.
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to learn to learn and meet new challenges.
