Finance Trainee

About Kids Alive International:
Kids Alive International is a faith-based organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable and at-risk children worldwide.

Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Finance Trainee to join our team. This internship is designed for students seeking academic credit and is expected to last for approximately three months, with flexible start and end dates based on the needs of the selected candidate and the project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry and receipt processing
- Conduct account analysis
- Perform asset reconciliation (including bank reconciliations)
- Update and document procedures
- Analyze internal controls
- Understand and analyze restricted funds
- Support audit preparation and 990 tax documentation (seasonal)
- Manage archiving, filing, and storage tasks

Qualifications:
A successful Finance Trainee will possess:
- Active enrollment in a relevant program at an accredited institution
- Preferred majors include Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- High level of accuracy and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
