Position Description

National Grid Renewables is seeking a

Program Administrator, Stage Gate

to join our growing Development Operations Team. This role will implement the internal stage gate process to enable compliant delivery of renewables projects, from inception through investment approval, into construction and through commercial operation date. The role will be critical to our growth through process improvement as we continue to implement more organizational processes to help meet business objectives, budgetary guidelines, allocated timelines, and proper communication across the organization.

Duties

Execute the administrative plan of the Stage Gate structure (RACI and workflow around confirmation of the RACI) including component projects (lead sub-process mapping), teams and methodologies and project management requirements.

Govern the Stage Gate program execution based on clear accountability structure and management of risk to realize benefits.

Understand and support program governance structure to oversee Stage Gate programs, clarify accountability across projects and sponsorship and streamline decision-making for the Stage Gating. ie when Gating Committee meets, Gating Committee rules, etc. Includes organizing and managing calendar of meetings, managing notifications of any changes to scheduled meetings. Attend and moderate Gating Committee meetings.

Establish and execute the Stage Gate communications plan and document management policy to bring together stakeholders in the business objective and connect inputs and outputs of the Stage Gating process on a project-by-project level.

Manage communications, document updates, and lead trainings on the Stage Gate process, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and alignment with business objective. Includes drafting and updated process and procedures, creating and managing templates and creating other training content. Manage the internal Stage Gate SharePoint Site.

Manage the approvals process for each project. Coordinate with stakeholders on review and approvals for each Gate.

Effectively direct project teams to deliver and meet program objectives. Demonstrate leadership, partnership, and collaboration.

Ensure all stakeholder parties are appropriately informed and aligned; proactively seek out and manage objections and competing perspectives.

Manage program and project escalations with timely resolution and communication across all key stakeholders.

Coordinate with IT department on the Stage Gate data tracking systems and any improvements or changes required.

Responsible for driving review of the program on an annual basis to improve and better serve Company outcomes. This includes continuous improvement of the process to reduce paperwork and increase automation and efficiencies.

Other tasks as required to ensure Stage Gate program success.

Background and Skills

Bachelor's degree.

Experience in commonly used process management strategies and personnel management practices

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated success in process implementations, program improvements, & data analytics

Written and verbal communication skills

Organizational and multitasking skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Highly collaborative and influential in a team management capacity
