The **Clinical Operations Associate Medical Director** is responsible for supporting the medical management staff ensuring timely and consistent medical decisions to members and providers. **How you will make an impact:** + Ensures timely completion of clinical case reviews for post-acute care. + Makes physician to physician calls to gather medical appropriate information in order to make medical necessity determinations for services requested. + Ensures consistent use of company medical policies when making medical necessity decisions. + Brings to their supervisors attention, any case review decisions that require Medical Director review or policy interpretation. **Minimum Requirements:** + Requires an MD or DO Degree. + Board Certification in medical specialty. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a closely related adult medical field preferred. **Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Capabilities:** + 3 years of clinical experience post residency. Preferably in inpatient post-acute care. For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $158,724 to $285,688.
