Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Location: Roanoke, VA

Pay Range: $30-33/hr

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
  • Maintaining accurate records: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized records of all compliance activities. This will involve using Microsoft Excel to record data and generate reports.
  • Monitoring and analyzing compliance data: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date on compliance related standard practices and ensuring our company adheres to them. This will involve reviewing current internal procedures, identifying potential risks, and improving standard practices.
  • Generating reports: You will be required to develop detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with other departments such as Transmission Planning, Engineering, and Legal to ensure our business practices are compliant.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, environmental science, engineering) preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a compliance role within the utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
