Overview: The Engagement Partner plays a crucial role in overseeing and leading a large-scale Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation consisting of multiple vendor teams following the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. This position involves providing strategic insights, leadership, and guidance to ensure the successful execution of the engagement. The Engagement Partner serves as the primary point of contact, facilitates executive communications, and collaborates closely with customer to address risks and issues effectively.

Location: Onsite @ San Antonio, TX / Onsite @ Plano, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overall Engagement Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight and leadership to the engagement team, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  2. Execution Insights and Guidance: Offer strategic insights and guidance into the overall execution of the Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, leveraging industry best practices and domain expertise.
  3. Cross P&C Insights: Provide valuable insights and expertise in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance to enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter engagements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives.
  4. Executive Communications: Support executive-level communications, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with program goals.
  5. Primary Point of Contact: Lead the overall engagement and serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for all stakeholders, including vendor teams, internal teams, and customer representatives.
  6. Risk Escalation and Resolution: Identify, escalate, and collaborate with customer on the resolution of risks and issues that arise during the implementation process, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration, trust, and alignment throughout the engagement.
  8. Vendor Management: Oversee and manage multiple vendor teams involved in the Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation, ensuring adherence to project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  9. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track engagement performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engagement team, leveraging feedback, lessons learned, and industry best practices to optimize processes and enhance delivery efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in project management, consulting, or related roles, with a focus on large-scale software implementations, with 2-3+ implementations involving Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex engagements, following SAFe methodology.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive collaboration, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Agile and SAFe methodologies, with experience in leading Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving project objectives.
  • Certification(s) such as SAFe Agilist (SA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, desirable.
