Description:
Position Responsibilities:
Contractual
o Maintains submittal logs and timely receipt and review of submittals and shop drawings
o Recognizes change conditions with respect to the contract and notifies appropriate parties
o Assists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoring
o Creates correspondence to owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.
o Maintains RFI logs and timely response to job questions
o Develops, implements and administers project engineering procedures and other work documents, tracks and logs documentation
o Takes weekly jobsite photographs
o Assists in preparing project status reports and participates in project status meetings; assists in development of meeting minutes
o Assists in project close-out activities
o Ensures all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications; coordinates inspections and testing
Engineering
o Assists with pre-construction activities as needed: construction planning and design; interpretation of design and drawings; application of construction methods; bid packages
o Interprets designs and drawings; prepares takeoffs; researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors
o Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
o Verifies work-in-place quantities for invoicing/pay quantities; verifies accurate payment of subcontractors and material suppliers
o Assists with constructability reviews and value engineering functions
o Assists in the definition of subcontract bid packages, coordinating scopes of work, and in preparing the packages
o Maintains as-built drawings; posts RFI, bulletin and ASI as appropriate

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Accounting
o Assembles construction financial data; monitors costs; tracks costs for force accounts
o Maintains job costing system and updates systems to reflect forecasts; creates margin reporting
Administrative
o Ensures craft time cards are completed accurately, reflecting hours worked and tasks worked on; assigns cost codes to all purchases, time cards, contracts, equipment time and any other item involving cost
o Ensures correct setup and maintenance of filing system
o Completes appropriate paperwork for new field hires
General
o Maintains all safety records
o Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, values and goals
o Performs additional assignments per supervisors direction
