PURPOSE:

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will enable value-building decisions, standards, processes, execution, and continuous improvement throughout Avelo Airlines by developing effective financial, operating, Customer and Crewmember data analyses, modeling, and company financial forecasts.

Responsibilities

Support effective budget management and planning by updating, reporting, and analyzing our budget including the short-term budget (12-month) and assisting with our 5-year model Enable value-creating/cost-effective decisions, process design, and execution by building Avelo financial, operating, customer, models, and data analyses (e.g. real estate, compensation, airports, materials, etc.) Support continuous improvement and building competitive advantages by analyzing competitor/external financial, operating, customer performance and data to create actionable insights. Build understanding, alignment, and execution by developing clear, insightful, and compelling presentations and other communication materials for our Board of Directors, partners, and crewmembers Provide analytical and execution support to other company initiatives and projects as needed, including business development, processes, etc.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Proficient in Microsoft Office, with specific focus on financial modeling, Ability to break down complex problems, analyze, and communicate solutions in an effective manner to all levels of the organization in an ever-changing environment Must be able to balance both financial and operational requirements Analytical aptitude; enjoys strategic thinking Must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, and deliver effective recommendations & results quickly Strong written & verbal communication skills Strong desire for continuous learning & improvement

1-2 years’ experience in related role preferred Prior airline industry experience preferred

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
