Responsibilities

* Develop and characterize transistors (IdVg, IdVd, Mobility extraction), MIM capacitors, MOS capacitors, pn and schottky diodes

* Create device electrical test plans on available testers in the e-test lab and execute testplans

* Provide device reports and recommendations for improvements.

* Collaborate between cross-functional teams like process, integration, design, FA and modeling

* Conceptualize new, innovative ideas and help shepherd from lab to fab

* Helps define, maintain and improve electrical characterization at various levels (from basic devices, such as transistors, capacitors and diodes, to Printed Circuit Boards)

* Purchase, maintain, upgrade and use with expertise the following electrical lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, probe stations, Automated Testers, Keysight and NI based electronics for measurements

* Helps generate and maintain data analytics for device reporting.

* Needs to communicate device reports and other challenging technological information to a wide range of audience (different technical teams and to executives as such)

* Engineer will code using python, C++, Labview and other relevant software to enable learning through automation of instrumentation

* Maintains test logs with detailed testing information and maintains tracking sheets

Qualification Requirements:

Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the following:

* Semiconductor device physics, transistor technologies, diodes, capacitors, reliability and scaling limitation, characterization, modeling, innovating new device architectures, conceptualizing process integration techniques.

* Experience in SiC and GaN or Non-Volatile Memory (emerging memory technologies, like ReRAM, FeRAM, FeFETs, etc.) device development, physics of operation, reliability mechanisms, integration and process development know hows

* Test and characterization of the device types mentioned above & expertise in statistical treatment of device datasets

* Defining new test structures for state of the art and research concepts and interpreting test results and ability to convert data into meaningful next steps

* In data analysis; cleansing, parsing. deriving insights and design of experiments.

* Coding, for instrument automation and statistical analysis:

+ Coding languages: C++, Python and Labview. And data tools like JMP, Spotfire/Tableau
