**Role Summary**

Become one of the authors of our story. Join our team as a Bartender at the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin, Texas. The Bartender will prepare orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. The Bartender will anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.

**Core Responsibilities**

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

* Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.

* Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using a brand or property specific processes to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.

* Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.

* Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell.

* Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.

* Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

* Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol.

* Report any employee, guest, and/or vendor incidents and accidents to management at the time of the incident and/or accident.

* Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly (e.g., last call times).

* Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.

* Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly, ensuring no shortages throughout scheduled function time, and ensuring proper authorization for additional payments as required prior to replenishing.

* Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.

* Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.

* Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.

* Count bank at end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

**Required Qualifications**

* High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent.

* At least 1 year of bartending experience.

* Prior luxury hospitality experience preferred.

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Must be able to work well under pressure.

* Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.

* Must be highly detailed orientated.

* Must have excellent listening skills.

* Must possess excellent communication skills.

* Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

* Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.

* Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
