Job Summary:
Assesses and directs a wide range of programmatic issues with Medical Education and Family Medicine Residency Training Program. This includes long range planning, recruiting resident trainees, analyzing administrative workflow and implementing workflow changes maintaining and updating databases. Interacts and communicates with staff, hospital physicians, resident trainees and medical student applicants for our internal medicine residency training program regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations.

Principle Responsibilities
* Assist with program operations.* Assist in preparing budgets pertaining to Graduate Medical Education and House Medical Staff.* Review and analyze financial statements and identify and propose solutions for variances.* Continually develop methods for quality improvement, cost savings and program innovations.* Signature authority to perform and approve financial transactions including requests for payment and cost transfers.* Coordinate aspects of the collection of information necessary for submission of all third party reimbursement activities for direct and indirect reimbursement for all directly sponsored and affiliated resident programs for which we claim residents.* Develops, implements, and oversees the maintenance of filing, record keeping, distribution of materials, and other types of office/program systems.* Evaluates and standardizes office procedures and effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues.* Serves as the training program liaison to Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and verifies ECFMG information.* Works with outside legal counsel for H1B visa sponsorship as needed.* Manages medical education software for the rotating residents and fellows from affiliated programs.
* Coordination of graduate medical education process.* Supervises the processing of new residents with respect to contracts, licensing, occupational health and human resources.* Assists residents in becoming acclimated to the educational setting and collaborates with the medical education staff in the preparation and implementation of new resident orientation.* Coordinate institutional agreements, program letters of agreements within our program and programs from affiliated programs.* Coordinate the process of all incoming residents and fellows from affiliated programs, including processing of needed paperwork.* Coordinate the elective rotation process for residents, including obtaining program letters of agreement and requirement documentation; this includes both internal and external rotations.* Coordinates the high volume resident recruitment processes including screening, examining, comparing, and processing of applications and inviting candidates for an interview.* Coordinates interview process, scheduling candidates, making hotel reservations, arranging interviews, submits National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) rank order list.* Performs all NRMP responsibilities and corresponds with newly matched residents about requirements and process for appointment to the hospitals.* Assists with quota review and rank list entry and certification in NRMP.* Maintains the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) database and oversees its processes during the residency recruitment season.
* Coordinates the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) process.* Serves as the education and training liaison for internal medicine residents, rotating residents and fellows from affiliated programs, staff, other departments and/or external contacts on operational and administrative responsibilities.* Coordinate the monitoring and documenting of all resident educational activity including curriculum and clinic participation, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) case logging, license verification and renewal, duty hour monitoring, etc. to assure compliance according to ACGME regulations.* Plans and oversees department-level trainee orientation.* Tracks, reports, and ensures compliance with procedures regarding residency permits, licensing, moonlighting, and annual contracts.* Creates master schedules, call schedule, night float, clinic schedule, for residents ensuring duty hour compliance.* Assists director in meeting the current standards established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, Internal Medicine Residency Review Committee, and American Board of Internal Medicine.

Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Science or related field required* 2 to 5 Years of office management experience with related Bachelor's degree required or* 5 to 7 Years of office management experience in an academic health care setting required
