Job Description:

The Role

The Director - Innovative Learning Solutions is a member of the FI and FBOT Learning Team's senior leadership team. You will help drive the future of learning strategies while also leading and managing a team of learning professionals.

You will partner closely with FI and FBOT HR partners and business unit senior leaders to understand where learning solutions or strategies can best drive business outcomes and help to influence and craft the associate experience. In addition, you will be aligned to a line of business working closely with its HR Partner as their Learning Relationship Manager acting as the primary point of consultation, intake, and feedback to the learning team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

We are looking for a person who:
  • Works effectively across business units and the enterprise to align on shared practices/platforms/solutions etc.
  • Uses data to deliver business insights and uses those insights to inform decision making
  • Has held prior management or leadership roles
  • Models flexibility in adapting to change or redirection
  • Champions learner-centered design and outcome-based thinking, and pushes the boundaries of learning capabilities through experimentation and exploration of new ideas
  • Can see what "might be" - both in terms how learning will evolve, and how people on the team can be developed
  • Has value-add skills (e.g., design thinking, marketing, communications, podcasting, library science, etc. - we are open)

  • Proven consulting and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build trust with others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent objectives or activities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to use data to make and drive decisions
  • Proven track record of providing solutions to sophisticated and complex issues; a creative problem solver who can work with colleagues and business partners in new and different ways to deliver results
  • Confidence in stepping forward to confront difficult issues and can view colleagues as "clients"
  • Proven vitality and dedication to progress; never satisfied with the status quo

The FI and FBOT Learning Team sits in the FI and FBOT HR organization and is part of the broader Learning Function at Fidelity.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
