**Operations Specialist - New Driver Onboarding - Fort Worth, TX**

**Responsibilities**

The **Ops Specialist for Onboarding & Compliance** will support bringing new owner-operators on board as members of the TrueNorth fleet and keeping our growing fleet in compliance with regulations. This is a critical role in a fast-growing start-up. There is room for both growth and increasing responsibility within this role and for transition to other roles at TrueNorth for motivated and successful candidates.

**Specific Duties**

* Fielding questions from prospective drivers by phone email

* Helping prospective drivers understand and complete application paperwork

* Soliciting information & documents--by phone & email--to maintain complete, current driver files

* Applying in person at state and county offices for vehicle registrations & related documents

* Interpreting and ensuring compliance with various state & federal agency regulations

* Maintaining driver-files, moving documents between paper and digital filing schemes as needed

* Developing and implementing processes and continuous improvements

* Other duties as assigned

**Desired Background & Skills**

* Perseverance, flexibility & a positive attitude -- Willingness to change tacks and think outside the box when presented with obstacles

* Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent growth and change

* Ability to work professionally and effectively with officials at local government agencies

* Attention to detail and superb organizational skills

* Competence and persistence in troubleshooting all kinds of problems (including technical computer, printer errors)

* Proficiency in document management software -- AdobeScan, PDF reader & editor applications, Docusign, Dropbox or equivalent(s)

* Experience with a county tax office or other government agency welcome, not required

* Experience in an administrative or safety role at with a motor carrier also welcome
