ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Lead the accounting function of the firmServe as a business partner to the Renaissance Operating Committee including the CEO and CFO, providing input on key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives and performance of the firmProvide strategic input on key company decisions leveraging knowledge of company financialsCommunicate financial results to senior management on a timely, accurate and effective basisDevelop and direct the companys budget cycle, accounting policies and procedures, financial analytics (including dashboard reporting for Renaissance Operating Committee), for insights and recommendations to guide the overall company strategyCoordinates efforts of offshore resources as an extension of the onshore teamEnsure the proper design and implementation of financial and accounting systems, processes, budgeting, and reporting procedures to effectively drive the growth of the firm while protecting the firms assets and assuring all requirements are met for regulators and auditorsPrepares GAAP and tax workpapers for external auditors, leads external audit and tax relationships and oversees annual auditLeads compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actionsEngages and leads accounting team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and developing team membersMaintain and monitor all appropriate insurance coverage and cyber securityQUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIESBachelors degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent in years of experience and trainingCPA or public accounting experience requiredFamiliarity with partnership/limited liability and corporate/C-corp accounting standards and practicesAdvanced knowledge of financial/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel/PowerpointDeep understanding of financial accounting, P&L, Balance Sheet management and revenue recognition methodologiesAbility to effectively mentor and manage accounting team membersDemonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders' expectationsStrong financial analysis and planning skills; demonstrated strong business acumenProfessional services industry experience preferredDemonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skillsExperience in promoting and supporting continuous improvement focused on quality, workflow processes, and efficienciesCapability and experience in leveraging resources including people, technology, research, and data to maximize performanceOrganizational skills to simultaneously manage several projects, provide successful outcomes, and accurately document all activity in a timely mannerConfident and effective communications skills with a professional demeanor through oral and written means with a diverse range of individuals both internally and externallyRelational-- exhibits a confident demeanor, a positive attitude, and genuine friendliness.
