Position Title:Sales AssociateLocation:Grand Forks, NDPosition Summary:The Sales Associate provides excellent customer service while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise & is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the shift.**Currently seeking part-time employees (30 or less hours per week) for afternoon & evening shifts - potential for full-time opportunities in the future**Starting Wage: $15 per hour (DOE)We Offer:Great work environment that is diverse & inclusiveOpportunities for advancement & career developmentNext-day pay available with PayActivMedical as low as $16 per pay period, Dental, Vision, Company-paid life insurance401k with generous company match of up to 5% per yearPaid time off, parental leave & tuition reimbursementKey Responsibilities:Provides top quality customer service at all times.Complies with company standards on carding customers for all age restricted products.Prepares food & drinks, cleans, stocks and maintains food prep area in compliance with health codes. (Based on location/position)Adheres to daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked and organized. Maintains inventory in coolers, drink boxes, store shelves and display units are kept "fronted" at all times.Prepares shift-change report at the completion of shifts by closing and balancing out the cash register.Follows all Parkland USA, vendor and merchandising policies and established proceduresMeets all performance expectations and complete all duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills:Previous experience in a convenience store, restaurant, or retail environment.Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work unaccompanied, standing, and without defined break periods.Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekendsExcellent verbal communication skills and customer service skillsPositive, outgoing personalityCash-handling experience is a definite assetWe thank all candidates in advance for their interest, however only those being considered will be contacted.Parkland USA is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.Please note that final candidates for this position will be required to undergo a confidential pre-employment background check which may include but not be limited to educational, criminal, credit, drug and alcohol and/or Fitness for Duty testing.
