Job Summary :
Vehicle Management Solutions (VMS), a leading provider of end-to-end vehicle management solutions including dispatch, vehicle storage and traffic incident management with a nationwide presence across 15 states, is looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join the corporate Finance team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Financial Analyst will develop models, manage the reporting and budgeting processes, and provide financial support to the company. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, private equity backed organization in a highly visible function with exposure to senior leadership at VMS.
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze business and financial data for trends and opportunities for growth.
Create and maintain financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and reforecasts.
Develop consolidated, location-specific and segment financial budgets and monthly and quarterly reports (P&L, KPI’s, etc.) for organizational leaders.
Analyze industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.
Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
Provide financial support for field teams, operations, and sales.
Perform ad hoc analyses and other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (e.g. engineering, mathematics, computer science) required.
An MBA or CPA is a plus.
Minimum three years of professional experience in accounting, consulting, investment banking and/or finance-related roles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong analytical skills including the ability to organize, consolidate and analyze large amounts of data and an interest in conducting deep dive analysis to better understand key business drivers.
Ability to work independently and in a team to manage projects.
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working in large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, MS Access) and ERPs (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Acumatica) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in industrials, transportation, logistics or government services preferred.
