Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for HR administrative tasks, payroll processing, and serves as a liaison for employees and leadership teams for HR related needs. The HR Generalist reports to the VP of Human Resources and is an IN OFFICE position.

Job Duties:

  • Provides excellent customer service and follow up for employee relations inquiries and facilitate positive working relationships between management and personnel.
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management and elevate employee complaints and concerns to HR leadership including conflicts, payroll issues, and benefits questions
Payroll responsibilities:
  • Fluent in all payroll processes and serve as backup payroll processor for the company
  • Weekly and bi-weekly payroll verification and process tasks
  • Process out of cycle payroll when needed
  • Process bonus amounts, including commission payments, referral bonus, etc.
  • Review/approve employee changes in Paylocity
  • Review/approve weekly 401k file
  • Upload monthly 401k eligibility file
  • Manage FreshDesk tickets related to payroll
  • Provide monthly hours report to Safety Director
  • Review timecards for missed punches and unapproved PTO requests
  • Manage tax agency registrations
  • Verification of employments
  • Responsible for input of employee lifecycle tasks in HRIS (Paylocity):
  • Notice of Resignation/No Call No Show (launch exit survey, provide feedback to stakeholders in region/department/HR; notification to Offboarding Teams of departures)
  • Send termination letters to all inactive employees
  • Payroll Change Form (confirm approval and process)
  • Supervisor Changes
  • Out of cycle pay rate change requests
  • Transfer requests
  • Cost center changes
  • Facilitate exempt to non-exempt and reverse w/ PTO buckets etc.
  • Notification to stakeholders on role and cost center/location changes
  • Responsible for monthly headcount reporting (hires/terms) for senior leadership
  • Serve as a Notary Public for the corporate office
  • Ensure proper filing and accountability for employment authorization and E-Verify processes
  • Ensure employment files are maintained and archived, at the corporate office
  • Serve as an executive assistant to CEO/CFO to help with corporate communications, presentations and/or scheduling events
  • Respond to government inquiries
  • Unemployment claims
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • State requests
  • Garnishment notices
  • Direct employees and leaders to appropriate company policies
  • Ensure required employment postings at all locations
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Onsite Corporate office events; townhall support, employee engagement activities, community involvement initiatives
Requirements
  • In office role in Morrisville, NC (5 days/week)
  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role for a company with 1000+ employees, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with an HRIS system
  • Intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • This is a salaried, exempt position
