Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will work closely with our fast-paced operating divisions and our Accounting team to provide impactful financial analyses and support operational decision-making, ensuring our ability to deliver highly customized tax solutions to our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with operating division senior leaders to understand and assist in achieving divisional financial plans and priorities
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tracking mechanisms to support forecasting, budgeting, and cross-divisional project execution and internal revenue crediting
  • Determine effective/useful analyses and key performance metrics, then conduct such analyses of financial data and performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate financial information to management and, as applicable, clients
  • Ensure operating divisions' adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in developing operational budgets and perform budget variance analyses
  • Ensure conformity with financial terms of client agreements (e.g., invoicing, client credit availability, fixed-fee caps, etc.)
  • Serve as conduit between operating divisions and Accounting department with respect to financial aspects of operations
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
  • 2 - 4 years of broad-based accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
  • Experience working with professional services and/or software/technology firms a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other financial software
  • Proficiency with Workday a plus
