**Job Description**

This position in Microchip Component Operations, our Global Supply Chain Team, will provide the

successful candidate with valuable experience and growth potential. The objective of our Supply Chain

Team is to establish, maintain/ improve supply continuity, quality and cost as it relates to products and

services. (Key Measurements: Inventory, On-time delivery, Quality & Cost)

Key Responsibilities

Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.

Reviews PO variances to the plan; past due and aged unconfirmed orders providing resolution with the supply

base

Works closely with Engineers & Strategic Sourcing Managers to support all procurement and vendor

negotiations on lead-time and cost

Process Returns to Vendor (RTV) for procured products and drive continual improvement with Supplier

Quality team.

Recommend cost saving proposals including alternative sourcing with approval of team

Manage and maintain item master/organization attributes for assigned products

Resolves accounts payable / receivable discrepancies for any / items assigned.

Resolves delivery/receiving discrepancies for any / all items assigned

Supports ERP integration activities and assists Project Manager with implementations

Participates in New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to represent Component Ops in the early stages of the

development process.

Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Process requisitions from Planning into purchase orders

Maintenance POs, promise dates, cancels, reschedules, etc.

Take direction from Purchasing Manager and Commodity Managers

Obtain quotes from suppliers

Process defective material (MRB) back to supplier (RTV) for resolution

Support ERP system transition from Oracle to AX over the next 6 to 9 months

Resolves accounts payable / receivable discrepancies for any / items assigned.

90% tactical role over the next 9-12mos

Working toward becoming a commodity manager 12+ months out

**Job Requirements**

Strong Interpersonal Skills

Experience using Oracle ERP system a plus

APICS certification including CPIM, CFPIM, or the CSCP a plus

Proven planning, organizational and communication skills

Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software (especially Excel)

Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

US Person due to ITAR requirements

Aerospace experience, ITAR/EAR/FAR requirements major plus
