Job Summary

The Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for executing communication strategies for Cano Health. The position disseminates corporate information or messaging internally and externally. Reviews and edits messages to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve the company's image. Defines performance metrics and measures the success of specific communications or campaigns. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management. Ability to foster teamwork. Leadership skills. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Planning, execution, and measurement of earned and owned media initiatives (non-paid) Development of strategic communication plans and crisis/issues management Field all incoming media inquiries Collaborate cross functionally with marketing & communication teams and across peer departments, including consumer access, patient experience, legal, risk, and events to create meaningful content Enhance relationships with key stakeholders, partners, policy makers and media partners Collaborate with social media team to repurpose and amplify earned content On-call for after-hours emergencies and crises Ability to interact with patients in a clinical environment

Supervisory Responsibilities Ability to give direction to vendors, agencies and partners.

Critical Results Elevate the Cano Health brand locally, regionally, and nationally Planning, execution and measurement of earned and owned media initiatives Development of strategic communications plans and crisis/issues management

Best Practices Story mining, insight prep/questions, discovery calls News releases/announcements, news wire distro Media alerts/events (i.e., new location openings) Media pitches, interviews, talking points, remarks Prep experts, media training Deskside briefings Press conferences Submission of articles/Op-Eds Relationship development with media stakeholders Newsworthy content creation & video news packages Social media mentions for earned media placements Artwork & image requests Monitor news cycle Develop and maintain a Cano Health Newsroom

Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree, preferably in communications, marketing and/or journalism. Master's degree is a plus. 7+ years of work experience in related field. Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and social platforms.

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Effective communication and organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of concurrent tasks efficiently. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus. Skill in operating phones, personal computers, software, and other IT systems. Skill in oral communication. Ability to communicate with employees, patients and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of information. Fluent in English and preferably fluent in Spanish.

Physical Requirements

This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
