OVERVIEW

Our Director of Engineering will lead our Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering for our global manufacturing sites. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining product and process requirements,driving process improvement initiatives, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and mentors a team of design, and manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing guidance, development opportunities, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects, initiatives and line support
  • Defines production processes and assists in product design requirements
  • Develops and implements manufacturing and transactional processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
  • Transforms the business using lean methodologies
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Manager on maintenance activities at the site addressing preventative maintenance, capital projects, upgrades/updates
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including CI, production, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and integration of new technologies to streamline production processes and increase productivity
  • Leads root cause analysis and corrective action activities to address manufacturing issues and ensure compliance with our quality policy and regulatory standards
  • Develops and manages budgets, forecasts and resource allocation for manufacturing engineering projects
  • Drives a culture of safety, quality and excellence throughout the manufacturing engineering team and across the organization
  • Develops and maintains relationships with 3rd party contracted resources
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline and 10+ years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of manufacturing, processing, and warehousing
  • Strong interest and proven capabilities in taking full accountability for plant performance including management of team, process, reporting, and day-to-day execution of objectives.
  • Demonstrated Continuous Improvement, TPM methodologies, and Lean mindset
  • Availability for domestic/international travel, up to 10% of the time.
