Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Technologist | Golden and Southwest LittletonReporting to Regional Manager of Clinical Operations

Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ) is a network of imaging centers built and managed through a partnership between Radiology Imaging Associates and HealthOne. Our imaging centers are conveniently located throughout the South Denver area and offer a variety of exams using state of the art equipment. Our services include MRI, CT, digital mammography, ultrasound, pain management, DXA, X-Ray, and image guided biopsies. Our mission is to improve the health of patients in the communities we serve by proving them with the highest quality imaging and associated medical care.

Summary of Position: The MSK Sonographer performs a variety of MSK ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Explains process to patient then instructs and assists patient in assuming physical position for examination
  • Perform MSK ultrasound exams, as well as ultrasound-guided injections under radiologist
  • Responsible for providing general MSK studies. May also be required to perform interventional ultrasound guided MSK studies. Must be able to use independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care
  • Demonstrates the cross section anatomy of normal/abnormal pathology demonstrated to provide for the diagnosis for the radiologist reading exams
  • Implements the knowledge of the bio-effects of diagnostic ultrasound as formulated by AIUM and/or ACR
  • Communicates and assists patients and physicians and collaborates with fellow employees
  • Prepares patient information and procedure results for interpretation
  • Required to respond to medical emergency including administering CPR
  • Assists patients with positioning on exam table and may be required to assist patients to prevent falls
  • Other job duties as assigned
Experience/Skill Requirements:
  • Must have at least 1 year experience as a MSK sonographer
  • High degree of manual skills, physical ability and dexterity with mental alertness, necessary for operation of equipment and assisting patients and physicians
  • Executes a variety of diagnostic procedures in a reasonable time frame according to procedure and policy at Invision Sally Jobe
  • Demonstrates the cross section anatomy of normal/abnormal pathology demonstrated to provide for the diagnosis for the radiologist reading exams
  • Implements the knowledge of the bioeffects of diagnostic ultrasound as formulated by AIUM and/or ACR
  • Possesses the ability to ultrasound and use various computers, software applications, information systems and instruments
Education Requirements:
  • Requires RDMS and graduation from an accredited ultrasound program. Must have an advanced certification in MSK ultrasound. Must possess at least one of the following registries: Abdomen, OB/GYN, and/or Breast.
  • Maintained current certification; obtains a minimum of 30 continuing medical education credits per triennium
  • BLS certification is required

Compensation is between $40.00 and $60.00/hr depending on qualifications

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Invision Sally Jobe's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.
