Job Overview:

The Data Validation Specialist will primarily be responsible for reviewing and validating data extracted from physical vision insurance claims. This involves verifying the accuracy of medical codes and patient information displayed on a screen, making necessary corrections, and ensuring that the data is accurate and complete. The role may also involve some document sourcing and prepping, as the site receives physical claims documents, which need to be prepared for digital extraction. This position offers the potential for permanent employment if successful.

Key Responsibilities:

Validate data extracted from vision insurance claims, ensuring accuracy of medical codes and patient details.

Review and make corrections to any discrepancies in the extracted data.

Prepare and organize physical documents for data extraction, ensuring they are properly sourced and ready for processing.

Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain records as needed.

Work closely with the team to ensure all claims data is accurate and properly processed.

Use computer systems and software efficiently to complete tasks.

Meet productivity and quality standards set by the manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong computer skills and comfort with digital systems.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data validation tasks.

Ability to make corrections to data when discrepancies are identified.

Basic understanding of medical codes and patient information.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle physical documents and perform some light lifting (up to 20 pounds).

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in data entry or medical claims processing.

Familiarity with vision insurance claims or medical coding is a plus.
