Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients. Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists are required to utilize sterile techniques, if necessary, operate complex radiographic equipment, and assist physicians as necessary throughout the Mission Health System. Continuing education, learned skills and experience will be utilized. This position will function without constant supervision to produce superior quality diagnostic radiographs. The technologist must be versatile in any given routine diagnostic area.

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: Graduate of JRCERT accredited School of Radiography.

Preferred Education: None Must be ARRT registered.

Required License: Completes requirements for CEU for re-certification BLS.

Required Experience: Minimum six months experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department. Approved experience gained through a clinical education program is acceptable.

Patient Care Group: Patients of all ages including the neonate, child, adolescent, geriatric, and the dying patient. Orientation, continuing education, knowledge and skills are developed as appropriate for these categories.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Associate Degree
