PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Have minimum one year experience in ARC and MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret certified prints, paperwork, and drawings.
  • Perform a variety of welding tasks including, but not limited to: Reading, interpreting, welding, and fabricating BAC parts from certified prints; do water-tight welding. Also able to repair coils.
  • Ability to recognize parts needing repair and repair the parts.
  • Understanding of basic Lean Principles of 8 Wastes and 5S program. The ability to contribute new ideas and sustain these processes.
  • Must consistently demonstrate good performance in the area of productivity, safety, and overall work habits.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Team leader.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Critical Thinking - Ability to recognize when the machinery is not running well, trouble shoot and identify issues, make adjustments as needed.
  • Communication - Capable of communicating to all levels of employees, i.e Team Leader, Station Leader, Material Coordinator, and production employees.
  • Customer Focus - Understanding of your customers, previous and next stations and finished goods customer. Know their process and how quality and on-time delivery affects them.
  • Aligning People and Team Development - Use appropriate methods and interpersonal skills to develop, motivate, and guide Mech III's new temporary employees.
WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 50% of the time. Working conditions include those of a normal construction environment, as well as standard hazards associated with installed HVAC equipment and rotating equipment. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • As team members depend on each other, successful candidates must have good attendance.
  • Ability to work any shift if needed.
