The Nurse Manager, using a high degree of professionalism, directs the planning, implementation, and evaluation of inpatient and outpatient care programs for adult and pediatric patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures to assure an effective continuum of care.General Description:Under general direction, responsible for the planning, direction and coordination of services to ensure that quality health care is delivered.Essential responsibilities:Directs and coordinates, the activities of the departments. (Cath Lab/EP/Pre and Post Recovery area)Evaluates, develops and implements process improvements to enhance safety and quality outcomes.Responsible for the hiring, promoting, discharging and transferring of employees.Responsible for scheduling and staffing needs of the units 24 hours a day 7 days a week.Arranges appropriate in-services and continuing education programs to meet the needs of the staff in each departmental area.Ensure the proficiency of the staff in each of the departmental areas.Tracks, monitors and reports trends in quality outcomes, satisfaction, productivity and operational data.Leader roundingReviews and analyzes reports, records and directives.Monitors and analyzes costs, prepares budgets.Evaluations of the staffWorks cohesively with all departments to provide quality care.Develops and implements clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with hospital regulatory accrediting and professional guidelines and standards.Collaborates with administration and medical directors to improve service delivery and growthMonitors and maintains accurate inventory service history and quality control records on all assigned equipment and ensures compliance with daily and periodic maintenance schedules.General Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor degree required. Graduate of an approved school or college of nursing; BSN required.Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or charge experience in one of specialty areas listedLicense(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
