Job Summary

The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing support across all HR functional areas and is the go to HR person at a site. This role may also support other functional leaders and assist in HR administration, professional staffing, and processing payroll. The HR Business Partner will have the opportunity to participate in or lead company-wide HR initiatives or processes.

We are searching for a collaborative, roll up your sleeves HR Business Partner who is dedicated to supporting the growth our people and business. Working alongside leaders in our Monroe, Wisconsin cheese production facility and distribution center, this person will be responsible for promoting a people-first mindset while partnering with the team to reach our business objectives. We believe it is important for the HR Business Partner to work onsite due to the collaborative nature of the role, with the option to periodically work remote when needed to focus on projects or initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Function as the HR Business partner to site leadership and act as the first point of contact for employees on all HR topics

Administer HR programs, initiatives and processes at the site

Identify and implement initiatives to continually develop the culture and engage employees

Foster effective employee relations; conduct workplace investigations, coach supervisors and assist in resolving employee issues

Provide guidance on employee development and performance management

Administer employee leaves by coordinating and communicating with leave vendor, employees and supervisors

Lead staffing from active recruitment through onboarding

Conduct employee offboarding process

Support supervisors in managing employee time cards and attendance records

Create and maintain employee files and other employment related documentation in a confidential manner

Maintain and update data in HRIS systems accurately and timely

Assist in the implementation and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Identify and implement continuous improvement measures

May provide HR administration and professional staffing for the corporate office.

Participate in or lead company-wide HR projects or processes

Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to employees

Run regular and ad hoc reports for KPI tracking and other analysis to proactively recommend opportunities for improvement

Assist in the development of presentations and conduct trainings

Assist with planning and coordinating plant events and meetings

May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of the business including processing payroll.

Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 3 years HR experience

Strong business acumen

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an fast-paced environment

Self-motivated with proactive mindset working with limited supervision

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information, write reports, create business correspondences and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

Problem solving, analytical, and facilitation skills

Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
