Role Profile/Job Description:
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
General Purpose:
A key element of our plan to re-position and grow O’Donohue’s Bakery is through the appointment of a CFO. This is a key role within the senior team. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and will attend Board Meetings. The CFO will assume full control of all the financial actions of O’Donohue’s Bakery in a manner that protects the company’s revenues and profits. The CFO will play a central part in devising and executing a strategy for growth for O’Donohues Bakery.
The CFO will have both a day-to-day and strategic impact on the company’s operations, helping the company to analyse, strategise, and grow its financial position.
The CFO is a strategist that not only understands current accounting practices and trends but has experience in dealing with government agencies (Enterprise Ireland, Revenue etc.) and in dealing with financial institutions. The CFO will have proven experience in raising capital and adapting to change - both in growth and downsizing in the FMCG industry.
As a senior management member, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that demands clear communication and presentation skills.
Role reports to:
CEO but communicates at Board level
Hours of Work:
8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
Location:
O’Donohues Bakery, Kilcruttin Centre, Tullamore, Co. Offaly (with some flexibility for remote working)
Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide timely reports & recommendations to the senior team.
·
Internal budgeting and audit requirements.
·
Ensure full and timely compliance with all external reporting requirements (Revenue, CRO etc.)
·
Supervise cash management activities, come up with cost saving strategies and manage investments.
·
Identify and address potential financial risks for the company.
·
Implement strategies and systems to improve financial performance.
·
Analyse and keep the Product Cost Model up to date.
Qualifications:
·
Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification.
Experience
·
Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience.
·
Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment
·
Highly proficient in MS Excel and Sage 50 accounts
·
HR Experience desirable
