Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:
As a valued member of the System Architecture Requirements and Definition team in AMDs Data Center GPU & Accelerated Processing product management organization, you will help to define the technical requirements, product strategy, and competitive outlook in the areas of RAS and security for AMDs Instinct GPU product families. You will author internal technical guidance documents to inform product managers and influence product roadmaps, produce detailed customer collateral to foster deep technical engagement with key customers, and perform thorough competitive analysis on planned system feature sets and performance.


THE PERSON:
We are looking for system-level thinkers excited about solving the worlds most challenging computing problems beyond rack scale. The right candidate seeks a strong understanding of why a system is performing a particular task, as opposed to solely focusing on how. We need a motivated self-starter with extensive experience in the stringent RAS and security requirements maintained by industry-leading datacenter and enterprise environments. Your work will influence all layers of the technology stack, from the silicon to the system SW.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Engagement: engage directly with leading Hyperscaler, CSP, OEM, and ODM clients to capture their requirements, understand their technology roadmap, and collaborate with them to ensure alignment between their future plans and AMDs product roadmap.
  • Internal Advocacy: synthesize external feedback, requirements, and industry updates into informative and compelling internal presentation material to change minds and assert influence across multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Industry Involvement: participate in standards setting bodies, attend industry event such as conventions and conferences, and meet with vendors of supporting technologies to understand product roadmaps for all the varied technologies required to implement massively scaled GPU compute clusters.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Expert level experience in datacenter/enterprise industry.
  • Substantial years of experience working on datacenter/enterprise RAS and security technologies.
  • Extensive experience providing internal technical leadership and guidance to large teams of engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Extensive experience driving technical engagement with industry-leading datacenter and enterprise customers.
  • Proven track record of successful product requirements definition.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a holistic, system-level approach to delivering solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information in an accessible manner to a diverse audience.
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role, able to command attention and engage participants in a large, dynamic environment.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required. PhD a plus.

LOCATION:

  • Austin and Santa Clara and open to other locations for the ideal candidate.
