Job Responsibilities

Performs the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and maintenance of complex computer systems for the College. Administers internal and hosted database management systems and provides College-wide support (e.g., programming, reporting, monitoring, coordination, training, maintenance, etc...) for various college information systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, LMS, HDMS, O365, etc...).
•Participates in the development, installation, testing, and implementation of new and modified information, records management, and/or administrative systems.
•Provides technical support for College data systems, including contact with vendors for software package support and problem resolution.
•Maintains system integrity and compliance with standards and security by monitoring and testing operating, database, and application systems.
•Coordinates, installs, and tests database management and related systems, including system updates and patches.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience.
A valid SC driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications

The ability to effectively and independently communicate with users, both verbally and in clear, concise technical reports, is critical for this position.

Experience supporting an ERP system at an institution of higher education and/or previous MS SQL experience are preferred. Previous experience with Ellucian Colleagues and an understanding of education support business processes such as financial aid, enrollment management, finance, and governmental reporting are also preferred. Experience working in a cross-functional team environment is preferred.

Additional Comments

This position may require the incumbent to work beyond the standard 37.5 hours/week, which could include working nights, weekends, and holidays. Employee will be required to carry a State-issued computer for after-hours support and contact. The position may also require overnight travel. Incumbent may be required to work during emergency or hazardous weather situations.

Excellent customer service skills are required.
