SPAs Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force.

Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients challenges.

Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.

SPAs Air Force and Army Programs Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Survivability Engineer located at Joint Base Bolling Anacostia, Washington, DC.

Responsibilities: You will provide engineering guidance to support the development and test of advanced aircraft.

Interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. This position will be located in the Washington DC area with frequent US travel.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

1)

Assist system engineers in developing aircraft survivability specifications, 2)

Assess and review aircraft survivability specifications, 3)

Assist in the development of aircraft survivability test plans, 4)

Review test data from survivability test and evaluation, 5)

Provide performance assessments, 6)

Support the development of survivability support subsystems that enhance aircraft maintainability, and 7)

Work with contractors and government engineering and test personnel.

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Washington DC Pay Transparency Range:

$170,000

190,000.

Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field 10+ years of specialty experience demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects related to aircraft survivability (e.g., visual, audio, infrared and radio frequency) Recent experience with recent significant systems engineering experience in the design, development, and testing of processes, technology and subsystems related to aircraft survivability Specific knowledge of classified test and evaluation capabilities used to develop advanced aircraft characteristics TS/SCI with previous SAP experience Desired

Requirements: Experience around Fixed-wing aircrew (pilot or NFO) USN or USMC (not USAF)

Low Observable experience Knowledge of acquisitions Weapons School
