We are seeking an Inventory Accountant to join our team. Qualified candidate should be adept at accomplishing inventory processes in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Job Purpose:

Manage the billing and inventory process, ensure accuracy of inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Compile, reconcile, and manage the overall inventory records

•Manage inventory & sales process including verifying weights, settlements, production/inventory lot status, discrepancies, advances, transfers and charges

•Update inventory data tables

•Address discrepancies between expected results and final settlements

•Work with Operations and IT on resolving inventory concerns

•Generate and/or review Invoicing paperwork, issue to customers

•Liaison with Customers and Financial Accounting to ensure proper billing and resolution

•Instruct Trading activities to Customer Service

•Reconcile cycle count physical inventory results with perpetual records

•Prepare inventory analysis and supporting schedules

•Prepare journal entries & record transactions to ERP system

•Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile accounts

•Support various financial and other external audits

•Prepare ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly reports for submission to management

•Verification of cash payments to suppliers

•Serve as backup to other staff functions as needed

•Update and maintain all company policies and desktop procedures related to position

•Other duties as business dictates

•Must be able to work OT when required

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree or similar experience in Accounting

•3-5 years' experience in accounting, inventory management, cost accounting

•5+ years in a manufacturing environment

•Experience maintaining and developing inventory cycle internal controls

•Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAVision a plus but not required

•Experience with Microsoft Office required

•High degree of Microsoft EXCEL mastery required (VLookup, Pivot Tables)
