What you will do:
The Plant Operations Procurement MRO Buyer ("Maintenance, Repair and Operations") is a plant-based position responsible for efficiently execute P2P process ("procure to pay"). Plant Operations Procurement MRO Buyer responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying, evaluating, qualifying, contracting, onboarding, and developing new vendors/suppliers.
  • Sourcing; negotiating; and buying goods, materials, and services to meet the plant's operational requirements.
  • Support in creating purchase order systems, alerts for order fulfillment and invoice generation, and provides additional order documentation as needed.
  • Managing the vendor/supplier relationships and resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, purchasing or quality/performance.
  • Ensures a Complaint procurement's process execution.
How you will do it:
  • Negotiating pricing on services and MRO supplies, availability and timely delivery; locating alternative vendors; and manages released orders.
  • Conducting assigned sourcing activities using best practices to meet customers' quality and delivery requirements at reasonable prices.
  • Working with suppliers and internal departments (logistics, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other support groups) to resolve potential disruption promptly and to ensure a continuous and secure supply of material.
  • Tracking, measuring, reporting and evaluating vendors/suppliers performance
  • Working in partnership with the accounting team on resolving any missed or late payments.
  • Responding to internal and external requests for information and guidance.
  • Communicating timeline and constraints accurately to all involved in the purchasing and supply chain process.
  • Maintaining the highest ethics and standards in conducting procurement functions.
What we look for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, supply chain, finance or equivalent required or a related field
  • Three to seven years of minimum experience in purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
  • CMM Experience required.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations with the ability to constructively problem solve in a complex, cross-functional environment leveraging Lean/CI tools.
  • Must possess the presence and communication skills to represent procurement's function
  • Solves Problems - Ability to build a plan of action and to facilitate multidisciplinary teams to answer operational questions.
  • Influences without Authority - Ability to work collaboratively with all plant's departments and to give plant's manager confidence to make an informed decision.
  • Prioritizes Value - Effectively choose where to spend time for greater impact/return.
  • Values Data and takes a broad, analytical perspective - Ability to collect, analyze, synthesize and simplify disparate data points to identify and communicate unique opportunities.
  • Takes Initiative - Ability to take timely initiative on assigned projects and demonstrate personal initiative by setting and achieving goals.
  • Ability to effectively sort through conflicting priorities between various groups to develop creative solutions that maximize benefit for the overall company.
    Proficient in Microsoft suite.
