Job Description - Director of Regional Development, UTHSC (Chattanooga-based) (24000001KJ) Position: Director of Regional Development Organization: University of Tennessee Health Science Center Location: Chattanooga, TN Overview: The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications for the Director of Regional Development position for UTHSC. This position focuses on development for all six colleges of the Health Science Center, especially in Chattanooga and southeastern Tennessee. Responsibilities: Front-Line Fundraising: Create and execute fundraising strategies to cultivate and solicit major and planned gifts. Engage with current and prospective donors while managing a robust portfolio. Donor Engagement: Identify and cultivate a portfolio of individual and institutional prospects through ongoing efforts, including one-on-one calls and collaboration with UTHSC leaders. Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with UTHSC constituencies, including the Chancellor, leadership team, college deans, faculty, and community leaders. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, advancement, marketing/communications, or related fields Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to operate autonomously and collaborate with external constituents Some travel is required. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is necessary for travel responsibilities.
