Denk & Roche has an onsite full-time Assistant Project Accountant open position. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the billing manager in submitting monthly pay application draws to General Contractors. Duties also include waiver preparation and submittal, along with vendor waiver preparation. You will also reach out to the General Contractors to follow up on draw payments and payment schedules. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a small office environment. We are searching for someone who is seeking a long-term position, and who is a team player.
RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Full Project Billing and Payment Cycle
  • Execute waivers or any other client requested backup as needed.
  • Print out any billing documents, get necessary items signed and submitted to customers. This includes new billing and revisions.
  • Prepare and acquire waivers from Vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare any waivers for D&R to be able to pick money up from General Contractors, title companies, etc.
  • Reach out to customers regarding the schedule of draw payments to provide cash forecasting.
Miscellaneous
  • Prepare reports and check in with customers to see when money is going to be ready. Provide this information to President and Accounts Receivable team.
  • Inform supervisor of all important issues and ask for help when needed.
  • Develop communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of the entire team.
  • Organize and implement timely project close-out.
  • Do follow up telephone calls to vendors and subcontractors, as necessary.
Technology
  • Develop skills and maintain proficiency in project management software including but not limited to Plexxis, Textura, Procore and GC Pay and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • An Associates Degree, or an equivalent level of education combined with related industry experience.
  • Previous experience 1-2 years in an accounting role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Plexxis, Textura, Procore and GC Pay a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
WHAT WE OFFER:
