In this position, you will be an integral member of our collaborative brand team, focusing on content management across our digital touchpoints and community development. A successful candidate for this role has had experience owning content strategy and creation with an innate sense of playfulness and a passion for delivering dynamic ideas that engage our audience.

This individual will report to the Brand Manager.

Role/Responsibilities

Content Management:

  • Ownership of the Content Calendar from planning through execution against marketing content calendar by writing all copy, scheduling & publishing posts, and verifying content launches across social media platforms
  • Bring the brands voice to life through content creation by identifying and executing on content strategies that add value and entertainment to primary social platforms
  • Continually raise the bar on creativity by writing fresh captions that connect to our audience with a focus on driving action and product trial
  • Willingness to participate in video creation both in-front of and behind camera
  • Have in-depth knowledge of existing social media best practices across both paid and organic (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc) as well as a stay up to date on emerging platforms
  • High attention to detail and representation of brand across social channels
  • Stay up to date on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
  • Research, edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
  • Adhere to external partner brand guidelines during larger partnership executions

Community Engagement:

  • Develop & foster brand love through targeted, one-on-one consumer interactions across all digital touchpoints.
  • Monitor all channels (reviewing inbox, responding to comments, etc.) and respond to the community within reasonable time frame
  • Proactively engage with thought-leadership social media accounts - both influencers and leading businesses - in order to build partnerships and uncover possibilities for future collaborations
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends
  • Assists with customer service coverage as needed

Reporting:

  • Work closely with customer service + R&D team to report and resolve any customer service related issues
  • Manage community interactions and work closely with brand team to ensure consistency of messaging
  • Create and report to sales leadership a review of social and paid medial channel performance on a quarterly basis
  • Track customer input and recommendations on product lines

Team Support:

  • Assist in paid social media content creation working hand-in-hand with the Design Team to develop high-performing ads. Manage delivery of these assets to external agency partners.
  • Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset by recommending improvements to processes and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Creative Writing, English, Communications or Social Media preferred. Equivalent work experience also accepted.
  • 2-4 years experience managing social media marketing or content development for a brand, CPG industry preferred
  • Experience working with digital management tools such as Dash Hudson, Zendesk, Asana, etc.
  • Must have a passion for all things social media
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats
  • Strong ability to produce and film quick social videos
  • Comfortable appearing/acting in videos as needed
  • Ability to understand historical, current and future trends in the digital media space
  • Fluent in the culture of social media strategy
  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • An insatiable sense of curiosity, and love for rolling up your sleeves and getting to work
  • Ability to work well both in teams and independently
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while retaining a sense of urgency when responding to customers
  • Positive attitude and excitement for growing LesserEvils overall brand

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT full time
  • Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office may be necessary
