Ours is a culture focused on what we can accomplish today, and where it can lead us tomorrow.Integrated Medical Services, Inc. is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Medical Office Assistant in our Cardiology department in Avondale. The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls and the scheduling and confirming of appointments. This position may also be responsible for logging new patient's incoming referrals, and assisting the front office with work related to the support needs of the medical practice.Responsibilities:Responsible for answering patient telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate personResponsible for the scheduling and re-scheduling of patient appointmentsEnsure all pertinent information from the patient is registeredSend a letter to the patient and referring provider when unable to contact patientMay verify eligibility for all appointmentsMay sort referrals accordingly to each referral coordinatorMay coordinate with MA to ensure they have received recordsVerify and update patient demographicsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:2-3 years' experience preferred Strong oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with peers and physiciansComputer killsAble to work in a fast paced environmentExcellent customer service skillsAbility to multi-taskKeeps a professional manner when answering the phone at all timesMaintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidentialContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededThe ability to work in a constant state of alertness and iMedical experience and EHR knowledge preferredEducationHigh School Diploma or GEDMedical Assistant Diploma or Certification required Compensation:Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits401k match availablePaid Time OffJoining Integrated Medical Services is more than saying "yes" to making the world a healthier place.
