Position Core Profile:

The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives and strategies across multiple sites within a designated region. Responsible for overseeing various HR functions, including performance management, workforce planning, talent development, and community engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and collaboration skills. The HR Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and fosters a positive work culture that promotes employee growth, engagement, and retention. With a focus on integrity and empathy, this role champions ethical HR practices and creates an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead performance management processes and disciplinary actions to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Develop and execute workforce plans to meet staffing needs across different job levels.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer programs to build internal capability for delivering effective training.
  • Manage the CDL program, including recruitment, training, compliance, and ongoing support.
  • Cultivate relationships with schools and community organizations to support talent pipeline initiatives.
  • Develop and manage buddy or ambassador programs to facilitate onboarding and integration.
  • Implement structured touchpoints to support new hires during their initial 90 days.
  • Provide support and oversight for H2B visa program compliance and onboarding processes.
  • Lead site-level talent reviews and succession planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with managers and employees to establish skills-based career growth objectives.
  • Organize recognition, engagement events, and focus groups to gather feedback and foster a positive work environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience within a service-centric industry, preferably landscaping.
  • Previous exposure to private equity environments and acquisition processes is advantageous.
  • History of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives within an Operating Company or across multiple locations.
  • A passion for building and developing high performing teams.
  • Deep expertise and experience solving complex and difficult challenges resulting in rapid growth and scaling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating and influencing others to achieve success.
  • Strong business acumen, enabling effective budget management and forecasting.
  • Understanding the service industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to pivot between strategic and tactical responsibilities as needed.

Travel and Availability Disclosure:

  • Expectation is 30-40% travel to regional operating companies and locations required.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work non-standard business hours and days as needed required.
