Job Description: Senior IT Infrastructure Account Executive – Renewable Market Focus

Root Group is seeking a senior account manager with strong technical knowledge in IT Infrastructure, especially network and security systems, who can engage prospects and clients through consultative selling.

Job Description:

Meet or exceed revenue and gross margin goals based on IT infrastructure product, consulting services and managed services sales. Establish and nurture strategic customer relationships through high value technical sales and support of leading IT infrastructure products and high-level consulting and managed services. Focus on mid to large enterprise accounts in the renewable energy market and select commercial targets and build infrastructure solutions with the Root Group engineering team that exceed customer expectations. Help our team do our part to make renewables a bigger part of our energy supply chain.

Duties Include:

Solution Focus: With a focus on Root Group’s target market (wind, battery and solar renewable energy generation), develop new clients and expand products and consulting services within existing customer base using infrastructure solutions that solve key business problems and meet regulatory compliances. Utilize tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, prospecting database and others to identify targets that have high potential fit for Root Group product and services.

Research, identify and close new client opportunities and grow existing client business with a focus in the renewable energy market and select commercial markets. Leverage existing client relationships and build on Root Group’s industry reputation as a technology leader in the renewable IT and OT infrastructure business. Become the trusted advisor for all IT infrastructure within your client base.

Assist in marketing Root Group solution capabilities through trade shows, industry or vendor user groups, company sponsored seminars and vendor interactions. Help develop business plans and strategic product and services direction by working with Root Group management and staff.

Product Focus: Generate product quotes in conjunction with customer and Root Group engineering staff. Focus on key networking and security vendor product lines and develop vendor relationships that give you preferential advantage over other partners.

Consulting and Managed Services Focus: Generate consulting Statements of Work and Managed Services Proposals in conjunction with engineering staff in the areas of networking, security, server, storage and hybrid cloud. Focus on key infrastructure consulting competencies that are supported through project or long-term consulting and managed services contracts.

Responsibilities:·

Manage multiple accounts and develop positive working relationships with all customer touch points to reach or exceed sales quota·

Drive client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction·

Leverage technical tools and quantitative data to manage campaigns to success, high customer satisfaction and renewal·

Work closely with Finance on billing set up and invoicing·

Manage customer activity with CRM tools for maximum efficiency and visibility, with carefully executed follow-up to closure on open issues

Skills Required:

Strong IT business and technology skills that enable a broad understanding of client needs and how Root Group can deliver a complete solution to those needs.

Must have the ability to formulate and propose compelling infrastructure solutions by working with engineering staff, and client IT management and staff.

Outstanding business development skills that bring in new clients. In addition to adding new clients, must have the ability to identify opportunities and grow business within an installed client base.

Excellent communication, listening and speaking skills with the ability to clearly and convincingly develop and articulate solution options to clients and prospective clients.

Must possess a strong work ethic with outstanding organization, time management and pipeline management skills.

5+ years of infrastructure product and/or consulting sales. A background in selling security products (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet) or networking (Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme, Juniper, HP Aruba) products is a strong plus.

2+ years of selling IT Project or Managed services in networking, security, storage or compute environments with a track record of success in medium to large account selling. #J-18808-Ljbffr
