Salary Range : Varies depending on education and relevant prior work experience
Compensation:
Full-time salary plus benefits. (Exempt Employee).
The salary range shown herein is an estimate. The actual salary will depend on the candidate's level of education, years of prior relevant work experience, wage parity among the team, and other bonafide factors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field from an ABET accredited school (required). An MSEE is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of electronic circuit design, including programming MCUs and working with embedded Linux systems.
Ability to mentor junior engineers (required)
Experience in opto-electronics and lasers (preferred)
Experience with hardware-level software development, including the use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers, I2C devices, ADCs, bootloaders, and debug tools
Proficiency with debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals, including schedulers, network stack, file system, memory management
Deep experience writing for embedded Linux kernel
Proficiency with Git for revision control
Excellent interpersonal communication skills: verbal and written
Excellent math skills
U.S. work authorization (required)
JOB DUTIES
Researches, designs, develops, troubleshoots, and tests complex electronic instrumentation for industrial use
Designs complex electronic circuits with analog, digital, and optical components, and can mentor junior engineers
Makes novel/creative recommendations for the development of new engineering products and features
You will also engage with other Climet engineers and carry out multidisciplinary projects involving hands-on work with embedded systems
Assist with design and code reviews on projects across Climet, with contributions to engineering projects when necessary
Programs microcontrollers using high level programming languages: C, C++, C#
Project Management: strong communication, planning, and organization skills
Prepares specifications, SOW, and test documentation
Reports engineering progress weekly
Creates and maintains design documentation
Collaborates effectively with other members of the engineering team
Must follow procedures established in compliance with ISO 9001
Other duties as assigned
Physical & Other Requirements
Ability to type and work efficiently on a computer
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Sitting or standing for extended periods is required
Ability to differentiate between colors
Education verification, basic English and Math pre-employment test.
